We are proud to announce that our international marketing brand, SNOW MONKEY RESORTS, was selected as a finalist in the 2018 Shinshu Brand Awards.
The Shinshu Brand Awards recognize organizations and companies that are dedicated to developing and promoting brands originating from the Shinshu (Nagano) region. Now in its 15th year, the award has previously honored distinguished names such as Hoshinoya, St. Cousair, and Masumi sake brewery. Selection is based on five key criteria: brand vision (concept), brand expression (design), information transmission, regional relevance, and sustainability.
Since our establishment in 2013, we have developed the SNOW MONKEY RESORTS brand with the aim of transforming Nagano into one of the world’s premier international travel destinations. Centered around the world-famous snow monkeys, the brand brings together a wide range of attractions and experiences that Nagano has to offer, promoting them to audiences around the globe.
Beyond promotion, our efforts in destination management have also been recognized—such as the establishment of an information center at the trailhead of the Jigokudani Monkey Park, the operation of foreigner-friendly restaurants, the development and operation of locally-based tours, and our support for overseas marketing initiatives in collaboration with local governments, tourism associations, and businesses. We are honored that these contributions have been acknowledged through this award.
Moving forward, we will continue to promote Nagano and the broader Central Japan region to the world, striving to attract more international visitors and contribute to the growth and revitalization of the local tourism industry.
