English-speaking Tour Guide in Nagano (長野)

We are seeking a Part-Time Tour Guide based in Nagano city to lead guests on a variety of 1-day guided tours around the region.
As a key part of our team, you will share your knowledge of the region’s history, culture, and nature with international guests, providing an authentic and immersive experience.
Your work will be essential in helping Snow Monkey Resorts deliver our mission of creating unique, off-the-beaten-path adventures for travelers who want to go beyond the typical tourist trail.

Key Responsibilities:

● Lead guided tours in English for groups of international tourists, ensuring an engaging and informative experience.
● Provide historical, cultural, and local insights during tours.
● Ensure guests’ safety and comfort throughout the tour.
● Answer questions from guests and address any inquiries related to the tour, local culture, or destinations.
● Manage group logistics, including meeting points, transportation, and timing.
● Submit documents using company-designated applications.
● Be a representative of Snow Monkey Resorts by delivering exceptional service and maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor at all times.

Work days: 1 to 5 days work per week
Basic working hours: 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour lunch time)
It depends on the work shift based on your request.

Part-time

● Fluency in English (Advanced spoken English required)
● Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with diverse groups.
● Enthusiasm for Japan’s culture, history, and landmarks.
● Previous tour guide experience is a plus but not required.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Ability to use company specific applications.
● Flexibility in scheduling
(able to work 1 to 5 days per week, depending on availability).
● Punctuality and professionalism.
● Must live within a reasonable commute from Nagano Station.

License/Certification:

• Visa in Japan (Required)

Salary: ¥13,000 – ¥28,500 per day

(Includes a fixed overtime allowance of ¥3,100 – ¥11,000 for up to 2 hours of overtime. Additional overtime beyond 2 hours will be compensated separately.)

Actual pay depends on the number of guests and tour duration.
